Portugal is once again highlighted by the TasteAtlas platform. In the latest update regarding the best cakes from around the world, the country once again has a representative in the top 10.
The pão de ló de Ovar (Ovar sponge cake) has risen two places in the best cakes in the world rankings and is now in sixth place.
“This creamy sponge cake is made with eggs, sugar and flour and is now frequently seen at most food fairs in Portugal. The cake is enjoyed throughout the country, not just in the municipality of Ovar, where it is traditionally produced”.
Besides being a beautiful country, Portugal also has incredible gastronomy!
